Also in 1st Corinthians, Paul says, “And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. If one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it. Now you are Christ's body, and individually members of it.” In most churches [according to the polls] 10% of the people are doing 100% of the ministry, with the other 90% left languishing. Is it any wonder the polls reveal our current position of “bodily suffering?” As in Jesus’ day, we believe there is an army of men in the back rows of religion just awaiting His touch and His calling. They are gifted, they are significant, and they are desperately needed if the church is to be all it could be.
At RECONNECTIONS we call men to an individual, personal, and passionate pursuit of their Good Shepherd because that is where they will find what they now seek. It is in abiding in Jesus: not in the temples, teachings, and programs of religion that men will arise and awaken. And it is in the marketplace of everyday life they will find Him now as they found Him then, calling out to them, “Follow Me!”
